Those who read my blog posts will know that I have a chronic gut brain disorder. I've recently been exploring 'free from' foods to try and ease the strain on my digestive system. I've discovered so many places to eat lately, with pretty much all of them having a gluten-free option. I think there is only really one 'free from' specialist in the area though. They are Twice As Nice Bakery in Newcastle-Under-Lyme. They can pretty much bake you anything free from everything... but taste.
Since my first visit, I have tried to pop down at least once a fortnight for some tasty alternative bakes. I'm still not sure which is my favourite, sweet or savoury, but I've not tried everything yet. The flat breads are also super, again they've been nominated for awards and I also really enjoy the brownies. Twice As Nice Bakery seem to make them super indulgent, to the point where I could quite happily die of death by chocolate brownie.
Have you tried 'free from' foods? What's your opinion?
